Gen A are born and raised with technology and social media.

Gen A were born from 2010 so are now under 12. There are around 2.5 billion around the world. By 2030, they will be 11% of the global labor market. They will learn from the successes and failures of previous generations. They are aware of key issues so can decide and act fast…

1. Tech-savvy: Experts that transcend technology

Gen A aren’t just born and raised with technology (Digital Natives). They are skilled at using it to enhance their quality of life (Digital Masters). They long for the charm and advantages of an old world where technology and inventions weren’t complicated. The external environment has molded Gen A to choose technology wisely. Artificial intelligence (AI) provides advice and learning design to lay out a personal career path. They will tend to seek out jobs in line with their values.

2. Passion Economy: Driven by the heart and dreams

Gen A people will live in an era where they can have a wide variety of information, opportunities, and ways to make money in the real and virtual worlds. Metaverse platforms, coupled with growing up with Gen Y parents and seeing Gen Z succeed chasing their dreams, give Gen A an imagination and understanding of how to explore economic opportunities. Widely creative and digitally aware, they will focus on finding their identity, universal values, and solving global problems while generating income (Passion-to-earn). Surveys show that only 6% of youth would like to be salarymen. They are also conscious of the well-being of society and believe that global problems are a responsibility they face, even though they may not have a choice at birth.

3. Creative Compensation and Benefits: Wage that isn't just money

The Gig Economy and Hybrid Workspace enable one person to do multiple tasks, manage time to the full, use multiple abilities at the same time. Employers and employees may agree on compensation in a form other than bank transfers, such as privileges or services like custom products, services, perks, or membership of fitness networks, psychological counseling and activities to enhance holistic well-being, access to specialized tools, resources, or software, virtual learning to develop advanced skills. This is both an opportunity and a challenge for modern organizations to design benefits and compensation that are versatile, creative, and suitable for both parties.

Implications for the future:

- Future education models must combine learning styles and real-life experiences for learners in a concrete, measurable, and meaningful way with real value and meaning to the labor market to create job skills in line with the future labor market and within each learner’s interests.

- As business models and project-base operations grow more and more, large organizations need a strong corporate culture with flexibility and to create a sense of corporate citizenship for employees.

- Properly and creatively designing benefits and compensation will be a very important part of corporate strategy and human resources. In addition to being able to attract new generations of workers into the organization, they can also be developed into a new service and business model that is popular in the future as well.
